Brimfield.. the first few days..

What a week we  had, we   (my  frend Vicki and I)   arrived  at our  spot (after a quick stop at a tag sale along the way) about 10 am (Monday)   worked all day unloading and setting up.. by 6 PM we were happy with the way the booth looked.. stopped at the grocery store and arrived at our rustic cabin.. I do mean rustic.. alittle more rustic than we had thought but we were exausted so settled in with a glass of wine and fell asleep.. woke to rain..rain.. rain..  By 6:10 my phone was ringing..Eddy, a man who had looked at an item at the booth was there already waiting for me to open ( we could not sell on Monday)..by 6:30 I had my first of many sales($80.00..)..yeah..off to a great start.. our sales continued all day ..

The next couple days are  a BLURR..Rain..    we met wonderful people..(see photoes)   the weather did not dampen the spirits of the shoppers who wore there rain gear and rubber boots.. They were happy to be there.. and we were happy too..

Our most famous customer was    Rachel  Ashwell.. Shabby Chic guru .. She was gracious,

as  many shoppers and other dealers came to our booth to meet her.. she bought several items .. some of which she said would be used as props.. so maybe they will be in her next book..
